A beautiful church in the historical center of Albufeira, a very touristic town in southern Algarve.

This church was originally built on the 18th century although there is no valid documentation proving the date. However, there was a previous temple on the spot, probably from the 16th century.
Its architectural lines are a mix of styles. The doorway is Baroque style and there is a Manueline side door.
Inside one can see a number sculptures including a representation Our Lady of Piety probably from the 16th century.
The church hosts a small museum of religious art which includes several artefacts taken from other churches in the area.
