Der Morgensternschrein steht am östlichen Ortsausgang von Nemmenich, einem Ortsteil der Stadt Zülpich im Kreis Euskirchen. Direkt daneben befindet sich der Markusbrunnen, eine historische, natürliche Quelle. Der Brunnen wurde nach der Christianisierung im Mittelalter dem Heiligen Markus gewidmet und ist seitdem Ziel von Prozessionen und Pilgern. Bis heute organisiert die katholische Kirchengemeinde St. Peter in Nemmenich Prozessionen zum Markusbrunnen.

Der Schrein ist aus Ziegeln gefertigt mit einem Spitzdach. Im Innenraum befindet sich eine geschnitzte Marienstatue mit Jesukind auf dem Arm, Kerzen und Blumen. Die Tür ist aus Glas und Metall und ziert die Köpfe der Statue mit einem großen, sternförmigen Kranz. Darin befinden sich im Kreis die Worte "Stella matutina - ora pro nobis", Lateinisch für "Morgenstern - Bete für uns".
The Morgensternschrein (English: Morning star shrine) is at the eastern exit of Nemmenich, a district of the city of Zülpich in the municipality of Euskirchen. Right next to it is the Markusbrunnen, a historical, natural spring. The well was dedicated to Saint Mark after Christianization in the Middle Ages and has been the destination of processions and pilgrims ever since. To this day, the Catholic parish of St. Peter in Nemmenich organizes processions to the Markusbrunnen.

The shrine is made of bricks with a pointed roof. In the interior there is a carved statue of the Virgin Mary with Jesus on her arm, candles and flowers. The door is made of glass and metal and adorns the heads of the statue with a large, star-shaped ring. Inside are the words "Stella matutina - ora pro nobis", Latin for "Morning star - pray for us".
