This building on Morgan Street, built in 1914, is now home to a banquet hall but once held the Eagle Theater, a nickelodeon in what was then the Lithuanian part of the neighborhood. (

According to Cinema Treasures, "The Eagle Theater opened around 1915 [plaque says 1914], in the Bridgeport neighborhood, located on S. Morgan Street near W. 33rd Place, not far from the south branch of the Chicago River. It could seat just under 300." (

It closed as a movie theater in 1950.
I was not able to go inside but have read that the banquet hall has preserved some of the theater's architectural features. There is a small plaque on the exterior of the building commemorating its past life.
