In het plantsoen van de Nieuwe Plantage staat het verzetsmonument van Delft, naar een ontwerp van Gradus van Eden. Het is een bronzen beeld van een staande vrouwenfiguur met in haar rechterhand een brandende toorts, die het verzetsvuur symboliseert. Het beeld is geplaatst op een zuilvormig voetstuk van witte natuursteen. De achterwand wordt gevormd door struiken en bomen. Het pad naar het beeld wordt geflankeerd door vierkante perkjes van buxus en rozenstruiken. Op 4 mei 1950 is het beeld onthuld.
Met dit monument wordt het verzet herdacht.

In the park of the Nieuwe Plantage is the resistance monument of Delft, designed by Gradus van Eden. It is a bronze statue of a standing female figure with a burning torch in her right hand, which symbolizes the resistance fire. The statue is placed on a columnar pedestal of white natural stone. The back wall is formed by shrubs and trees. The path to the statue is flanked by square flowerbeds of boxwood and rose bushes. The statue was unveiled on May 4, 1950.
This monument commemorates the resistance.
