This marker gives a brief history of the Lone Pine school bell, which is on display on the County Courthouse lawn in Clarksville, Arkansas.

The Lone Pine School was in use from 1921 to 1953. The school is long gone but the bell remains, housed on this handsome brick monument. The historical marker on the monument was set by the Johnson County Historical Society in 1984. The bell and marker are accessible at all times, and there is parking a few feet away.
