This metal plaque on a concrete plinth with a flagpole is located near the parking area off Miracle Strip Parkway for the Indian Mound Museum area. The area also has a former schoolhouse, a Civil War Cannon, and an early Indian Mound. Access to the schoolhouse can be purchased at the Indian Mound Museum around the block.
The memorial itself is pretty straightforward. A metal plaque on a two-foot plinth. The top of the plinth is slightly angled. There is also an accompanying twenty-foot flagpole. The text of the marker reads:
