In front of the Božinovski Watches & Jewelry shop on the Boulevard Makedonija 29 in Skopje, North Macedonia a life-size statue of a man is attached to the wall. He is waiting for someone/something and therefore looking at his watch. The statue is made of all kinds of metal parts and a small information board (right of the statue) tells the name of both the work and the artist in two languages:
- I am still waiting

KOSTOV
Vlado Kostov
"Vlado Kostov Vace (1967) graduated from the Applied Arts School 'Lazar Licenoski' in Skopje and has shaped his artistic outlook under the influence of the renowned painter Dimitar Manev.
After graduation, in 1987, he went to London, to the Hollywood Road Film Production animations and cartoons studio, working as drawing artist.
In 2005 Kostov discovered his authentic expression, embodied into a subtle construction of scrap materials, expressing the sensibility of the great saxophone player Parker.
In his works he metamorphs the ugly and the useless into an aesthetic form, and therefore the critics consider him among the artists of paradoxical invention."
