This building was destroyed by bombing during World War II, despite having a long history going back to the 1300's. It was rebuilt in the Rococo style and you can ascertain this from the photos.
The "Then" photo is from 1960, when cars were still allowed to park in the downtown. The "Now" photo illustrates that the entire Altstadt is now for pedestrians only (far better than dodging cars in a historic area!0.
