This wooden bridge crosses a narrow gorge over the River Coe en-route to the Lost Valley, also known as Coire Gabhail. The Lost Valley lies between Beinn Fhada and Geàrr Aonach, the most easterly and the central of The Three Sisters of Glen Coe, three rocky buttresses that lie on the south side of the glen.
The route to the Hidden Valley begins from one of two large lay-bys on the south side of the A82 road that runs through the glen. From here a path drops down into the gorge that contains the River Coe. A series of metal steps drops down into the gorge, and the river is spanned by a 30 foot wooden footbridge, before the climb up to the valley.
The bridge was erected by the National Trust for Scotland who own most of the area around Glen Coe.
