In Bensafrim, a village in western Algarve, the southernmost region of Portugal, a plaque about Infante D. Henrique, the navigator, can be seen.
Accordingly to it, this important historical character spent some time in the village back in 1458.
The historical marker was placed in the 600th year of his birth, on the 4th March 1995.
