"The current building, originally owned by the Church, was a bishops' asylum and college. During the Civil War it became a hospital and in 1942 it was bought by the then Army for a remarkable price, three million pesetas of the time. Since then it housed the Military Government until its conversion into a Defense Subdelegation in the 1990s."
