Historical Marker:

Built 1890 by Robert W. Hubbard, a Confederate veteran who fought in last battle of Civil war. Owned by Mrs. F. H. Birmingham, descendant.

"Hubbard moved to Bastrop from nearby Hill's Prairie 1890 and built this house, K.M. Trigg married Hubbard's daughter and made changes to original house later. A good example of a Victorian house with Neo-Classical Revival details."
