Vandalism takes over the recovered Os Carrís park, in A Valenzá, just three weeks after a complete transformation of the enclosure, which was closed during the summer due to the risk of falling trees. The arboriculture company Arbogal, specialized in making chainsaw carved log figures, made three special designs to integrate them into this new space: a mountain goat, an otter and a heron. The goat is the one that has suffered the consequences. After the vandals ripped off one of its horns and threw it into a nearby stream, yesterday they did the same with the sculpture's other horn. The Concello de Barbadás plans to install security cameras.

Neighborhood outrage

"We are outraged. It is a handicraft work that attracts little glances. The public is very angry, everyone or the world is vixifying to give guilty things. We believe that two people were different from the origin of acting", says Victoria Morenza, Councilor for Infrastructure of the City Council of Barbadás.

The Council has been able to recover the two parts torn from the sculpture. The last horn plucked by the vandals was left near the figure itself. The municipal corporation is already in contact with the company in charge of the works, which will proceed with the restoration of the same when the surveillance cameras are installed in the park.
