"Chère Mairie de St-Lo, attristées par votre licorne blessée, nous nous sommes permis de lui fabriquer une prothèse de corne, dont nous l'avons parée cette nuit. Nous avons respecté des critères de proportion, d'esthétisme et de discrétion, et nous avons utilisé un matériau naturel, local, non polluant et recyclable. Nous avons également suivi la notion de réversibilité, et d'accrochage/décrochage facile."

Et le collectif de poursuivre : "Nous espérons ne pas avoir manqué de respect à l'artiste qui a réalisé la statue, ni aux passants qui la découvriront ainsi rénovée. Nous serions honorées que la ville de St-Lô conserve cette prothèse unique, réalisée sur mesure, pour en parer la licorne lors des grandes occasions, et lui redonner ainsi le panache qu'elle mérite."
