This is the north-western portal of the tunnel de Braye-en-Laonnois on the Canal de l'Oise à l'Aisne. It can be found near the village of Chevregny in the Aisne 02 département.
It was opened in 1890 and is just over 2,300 metres long and boats pass through under their own power. It is a one-way tunnel controlled by traffic lights operated from a control tower by the southern portal with CCTV link to the northern portal.
The canal de l'Oise à l'Aisne is a 48 kilometre long commercial canal joining the canal latéral à l'Aisne at Bour-et-Comin to the canal latéral à l'Oise at Abbécourt.
The tunnel is on the canal's summit at an altitude of 66 metres and is 6.50 metres wide with a minimum air draught of 3.50 metres.
