[EN] This edifice, covered by a spectacular slate roof, takes the form of a greek cross. The austere architecture of the facade is misleading. The interior in fact holds in store an exuberant baroque decoration which reveals how much the Catholics, in the aftermath of the wars of regligion, strived to promote their faith through the worhip of images.

In 1701, the wooden ceiling was decorated in paintings, signed "Guy", exalting the cult of the True Cross.

Then, in 1709, the gilt wooden alterpiece sculpted with different scenes of the Passion of Christ was begun and was finished in 1725.

In the middle of the 18th century, the confraternity modified the facade by adding the circular pediment and balustrade. The decoration of the interior was taken up again when the walls were painted in an imitation of marble.
