The Yancey Collegiate Institute

The Yancey Collegiate Institute was built around 1900. It was later used as Burnsville Elementary School until 1993. The building is now used by the Blue Ridge Reading Team. The building is located on School Drive and Green Mountain Drive.

It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on August 21, 2003, Number 03000799.
