Union Mission was established in 1920 as a ministry to the Osage Indians. According to the web page linked below the Mission was the site of the first recorded marriage, first school, first printing press, first book published, first Christian burial, first commercialized salt works, first white settlement, first white and Indian cemetery, and home to Oklahoma's oldest grave marker (the page says 1825; there are graves from 1822 here).
