This monument was placed in the center of a small roundabout, at one of the entrances of the town of Loulé. It's in a obelisk shape, crowned with a nautical navigation instrument which is present in the Portuguese flag.
There is a plaque referring the monument was placed by the municipality and inaugurated on the 15th of April 2007.
