[FR] Contrairement à ce que son nom laisse penser, il ne s'agit pas d'un temple dédié à la déesse Diane.
Les thermes romains de la ville ont été datés des ier et iie siècles. Ils sont constitués de trois établissements successifs et fonctionnaient encore au début du ive siècle.
Les thermes publics de Cahors étaient alimentés par l'aqueduc qui prenait sa source à 16 km de là, au pied de l'oppidum de Murcens.
Les thermes de Divona Cadurcorum ont été construits en blocs de grès, en petits moellons cubiques de calcaire, puis en briques associées à l'appareil de calcaire. L'Arc de Diane a été bâti selon la troisième technique.
[EN] Contrary to what one might think, it is not a temple dedicated to the goddess Diana. The baths and therefore the arc date from the 1st and 2nd centuries. The total floor area was approximately 3000 m2.
