Op deze strekdam vindt u sinds een aantal jaren een uitkijktorentje en een "historische" steiger, genaamd het plankier. Beide werden in 2015 aangelegd ten gelegenheid van het project 'De Parel van Flevoland'. Met de replica van het historisch plankier en het 'vuurtje' werd het oude havenzicht van Urk in ere hersteld. De steiger biedt ruimte voor het aanmeren van historische schepen. Met name voor schepen uit de bruine vloot, die in het verleden veel in de haven van Urk kwamen.

On this breakwater you will find a watchtower and a "historic" jetty, called the “plankier”. Both were constructed in 2015 on the occasion of the 'De Parel van Flevoland' (Pearl of Flevoland) project. The old harbor view of Urk was restored with the replica of the historic platform and the 'fire'. The jetty offers space for mooring historic ships. Especially for ships from the brown fleet, which in the past often came to the port of Urk.
