This description is from their website and better than I could write myself.
"Referred to as Snohomish County's treasure since 1963, the Evergreen Arboretum & Gardens is both a place of beauty and education that is free to visit. The arboretum is located on 3 ½ acres in American Legion Memorial Park, Everett Washington, and maintained by a small army of volunteers with help from Everett Parks and Community Services. Its eleven themed gardens, each with its own volunteer curator, include the Urban Tree Walk, Rock Garden, Northwest Native Plant Trail, Japanese Maple Grove, Nativar Garden, Horizontal Rock Garden, Viewing Mound, Woodland Garden & Fernery and Conifer Gardens as well as the 200 foot Snohomish County Master Gardener's Demonstration Border. The Sculpture Collection throughout makes us truly unique. Weaving through these gardens are ADA approved pathways in main areas. There are countless ways to enjoy all that the Evergreen Arboretum has to offer: docent-led tours, educational classes, the annual plant sale and volunteerism. Come witness the beauty that every season holds."
