This is the grave of Captain Charles Beardsley in North Hardyston Cemetery.

The original brown headstone is starting to wear. The upper right corner through below half way down the edge has broken off the stone. The text for the headstone was found in the digitized book "History of Sussex and Warren Counties" by James P. Snell.

According to revolutionarywarnewjersey.com, Charles Beardsley was Captain of Warwick Company of Col. John Hathorn’s Regiment, Orange County Militia. His grave does not have a military style footstone. It appears that his ancestors provided him with a personalized marker with a 50 star American Flag etched on it.
