This bas relief memorial plaque shows five people, named below the picture, that were oil pioneers of Louisiana and involved in the drilling of the first oil well in Louisiana. The memorial is located in Oil and Gas Park in Jennings, LA just north of the Interstate 10 and Highway 26 interchange. The park includes playground equipment, pavilions, a 0.6 mile walking track, a 10 acre fishing pond, an alligator house, and a tourist information office.
