This reserve is characterised by a large sand plain, dunes and several lakes. The name of the site inspired the design of the tower's facade, where the undulating lines of the sand dunes can be recognised.
The construction consists of staggered triangles. This construction principle means that the appearance of the tower changes according to the viewing angles. When climbing the stairs, the visitor observes the landscape between the ropes. All steel is hot-dip galvanised, including the bolts. The main supporting structure consists of 508 x 20 mm and 355.6 x 16 mm tubes. The use of galvanised steel, FSC-certified wood and synthetic ropes has resulted in a durable, low-maintenance project.
