De Prins Clausbrug is een tuibrug over het Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal binnen de stad Utrecht en is ontworpen door Ben van Berkel, die vooral bekend geworden als ontwerper van de Rotterdamse Erasmusbrug. De oorspronkelijk bedachte naam voor deze brug was Papendorpsebrug, maar bewoners van het Kanaleneiland kwamen op het idee om de brug naar Prins Claus te vernoemen. Prinses Máxima opende op 25 juni 2003 de naar haar schoonvader genoemde brug.

Deze brug vormt de directe oeververbinding tussen de Utrechtse buurten Kanaleneiland aan de oostzijde (waar de architect van deze brug is opgegroeid) en Bedrijvengebied Papendorp aan de westzijde van het kanaal. Bovendien ligt deze brug in de kortste route tussen sommige delen van de stad en de woonplaatsen ten westen van de stad.

Van groot belang is deze brug voor het stads- en streekbusvervoer. Het merendeel van de bussen tussen Utrecht en het gebied ten westen, zuidwesten en zuiden van de stad rijdt over de Prins Clausbrug die wat het busvervoer aangaat onderdeel uitmaakt van de Zuidradiaal. Van de vier rijstroken zijn daarom twee ingericht als vrije busbaan. Ook is deze brug aan weerszijden voorzien van een vrijliggend fietspad.

The Prince Claus Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal within the city of Utrecht and was designed by Ben van Berkel, who is best known as the designer of the Rotterdam Erasmus Bridge. The originally conceived name for this bridge was Papendorpsebrug, but residents of the Kanaleneiland came up with the idea to name the bridge after Prince Claus. Princess Máxima opened the bridge named after her father-in-law on June 25, 2003.

This bridge forms the direct river crossing between the Utrecht neighborhoods Kanaleneiland on the east side (where the architect of this bridge grew up) and the Papendorp business area on the west side of the canal. Moreover, this bridge is located in the shortest route between some parts of the city and the residences west of the city.

This bridge is of great importance for city and regional bus transport. Most of the buses between Utrecht and the area to the west, southwest and south of the city cross the Prins Clausbrug, which is part of the Zuidradiaal as far as bus transport is concerned. Two of the four lanes have therefore been set up as a free bus lane. This bridge is also provided with a separate cycle path on both sides.
