From wikipedia:
The Plast National Scout Organization of Ukraine (Plast Natsionalna Skautska Orhanizatsiia Ukrayiny), commonly called Ukrainian Plast or simply Plast, is the largest Scouting organization in Ukraine.
It was formed in 1911 in Austro-Hungarian Galicia, now part of Ukraine. The Movement survived despite the trials of two World Wars and annexation by the former Soviet Union.
In the late 1940's and early 1950's, following the exodus of many Ukrainians to the West, Plast Scouting was set up in Canada, the USA, France, Austria and Australia and New Zealand.
The camp here at Grafton was established in 1953. It comprises properties both north and south of Highway 2 at Lakeshore Road. The camp operates camps during the summer as well as on week-ends during the rest of the year.
