Farmers Branch is proud of their parks and trails, branding themselves a "City in a Park". This and other stainless steel benches in the park are slightly generic, but they have been customized to let the light shine through the seat and "City in a Park." A bronze plaque with the Rotary International emblem is attached to the back of the bench, reading "In Memory of Kevin Short". Unfortunately, there are no identifiable candidates from Findagrave, and an Internet search on his name and Farmers Branch/Carrollton turns up nothing.
