The Umedalen Sculpturpark is a public park on the site of a former psychiatric clinic. In 1987 the site was sold to the real estate company "Balticgruppen", which today operates under "Fort Knox". In order to improve the bad reputation of the complex, a cooperation was entered into with the "Galleri Andersson / Sandström", in which an exhibition was first made and, after the great success of this, further sculptures were acquired as a permanent installation for the park. The park is open all year round and can be visited free of charge.
