The McCormick-Deering W-6 is the standard version of IHC/Farmall's Model M tractor. It is one of 28,378 tractors built between 1940 and 1953.
the W-6 came in a standard wheel configuration. It was the best seller in its class, It was replaced by the Super W-6 after the 1953 line was completed.
The example on display was built prior to 1945, when the brand name was shortened to Mccormick.
This tractor is one of about 100 vintage pieces of farm equipment, tractors and vehicles on display at Pete's Centre Canada Heritage Museum off the Trans Canada Highway just east of Winnipeg, near the village of Tache.
