Newbold Astbury is a picturesque village and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East and the ceremonial county of Cheshire, in the north-west of England.
It is located on the eastern edge of the Cheshire plain, a few miles south west of Congleton on the A34. The A34 forms one side of the triangular village green which is covered in a lovely carpet of daffodils in the springtime.
The church of St Mary's is located at the apex of the village green and is in the Early English and Perpendicular styles, built of millstone grit between the 13th and 15th centuries. The detached spire can be seen for miles around. (

Characterful cottages which were built for agricultural workers in the nineteenth century face the village green.
Glebe Farm, to the east of the church, dates from the sixteenth century and was once the village rectory.
The Egerton Arms, adjacent to the church, is a nineteenth century coaching inn that serves meals in its bar and restaurant.
