Ellen Watson was born in 1858 and passed away at the age of 47. Her granite headstone is located in Indian Territory Checotah Cemetery. The greatest number of burials here occurred before 1912. Ellen was a Creek Indian.

A dove is engraved in relief on the slanted granite top of her headstone. The dove has its wings spread, and is not carrying an olive branch. The inscription on the headstone reads:

Ellen Wife of
Thomas Watson
Died Jan. 10, 1905
Age 47 Yrs.
