The entrance door of the Hotel 'Grüner Baum', Hauptstraße 51 in Gefrees, District of Bayreuth, Germany is characterized by the fact that there is a door knocker in the middle of each door. Both door knockers show a metal lion's head, which in turn holds a metal ring in its mouth. Each metalring has a diameter of 12 cm. The lion's head in turn is attached to a star-shaped blue plate. The two halves of the door are separated by a Doric column, also blue, in which the door closing mechanism is located.
The building is part of the historic-protected ensemble 'Hauptstraße', which is under monumental protection. Therefore the age of the house, which is now a small hotel, should be about 200 years old.
