Key to My Heart,by Zonly Looman & Studio Z, is located on the south side of 1st Street, west of Broadway, on the north side of the Festival Market Place. This location gets a lot of foot traffic, especially on weekends, and will surely be a popular attraction in the city. Edmond has over 200 outdoor public art pieces, several of them by Zonly.
At seven feet high and twenty-one feet long, the letters L-O-V-E are spelled out in the sculpture that is secured to concrete. Each letter is filled with small hearts for attaching locks. Visitors are welcome to attach their own love lock, and local merchants will be selling lock options as well.
At each end of the sculpture, at the back, are secured boxes to leave your love lock keys (a more environmentally friendly option than throwing them into a river or pond).
Since the sculpture was just installed October 15, 2020, the love locks are just starting to adorn the structure.
10/26/2000: There are now about 100 locks on the sculpture.
8/2/2022: There are currently about 450 locks on the sculpture.
