The artwork of Piet Slegers is located close to the station in Elst. The artwork “Ontluiken” consists of three abstract spatial elements. The elements do not touch, but seem to have once been a whole. The shape and size are tailored to the narrow central reservation. The stainless steel is partly blasted with glass pearl. This technique is used to achieve a matte effect. The other part is cut in different directions, making it shimmer in the sun.
