Op de zuidwand van het pand van Pijnenburg Juweliers op de Heuvelstraat 61 in Tilburg prijkt een carillon. De juwelierszaak aan de Heuvelstraat is zo’n drie jaar geleden grondig verbouwd en heeft dus een uitstraling die helemaal van deze tijd is. Toch zijn elementen uit de historie nog aanwezig. Zo wordt de strakke gevel in zwart natuursteen opgesierd door de klokken van een carillon. In het verleden werkte het als een soort draaiorgel waarbij deurtjes open gingen en de poppen naar buiten kwamen. Juwelier Pijnenburg is al in het pand gevestigd sinds 1952 (juwelier.pijnenburg.nl).
A carillon adorns the south wall of the building of Pijnenburg Juweliers at 61 Heuvelstraat in Tilburg. The jewelry store on the Heuvelstraat was thoroughly renovated about three years ago and therefore has a look that is completely contemporary. Yet elements from history are still present. For example, the sleek facade in black natural stone is adorned by the bells of a carillon. In the past it worked as a kind of barrel organ in which doors opened and the puppets came out. Jeweler Pijnenburg has been located in the building since 1952 (juwelier.pijnenburg.nl).
