"Depuis quelques années nous avons formé un atelier de sculpture, au sein d’un établissement à caractère social situé à 12 km de Blois, dans le village de Chambon-sur-Cisse. Le Foyer Amitié accueille une trentaine d’adolescents et jeunes adultes en difficultés familiales.
Nous avons choisi, pour matière première de : « Donner une seconde vie à la ferraille abandonnée, aux vieux vélos destinés à la poubelle, aux tôles ondulées en fin de vie, etc… ».
Le choix des sujets des œuvres est collectif. Nous travaillons à partir de photos, de croquis, de planches anatomiques, et parfois de maquettes.
L’étape suivante consiste à démonter, découper, tronçonner les multiples éléments mécaniques. Nous retravaillons les formes en tordant, pliant ou martelant à froid pour obtenir les lignes et courbes recherchées. Vient ensuite la construction par soudage à l’arc, rivetage ou vissage.
Dans un premier temps, de manière globale, pour trouver le mouvement, nous posons les premières courbes. Dans un second temps les formes définitives et les détails sont affinés.
L’aboutissement des réalisations a franchi le stade du petit bricolage auto satisfaisant, pour prendre une dimension artistique étonnante et passionnée."

The result of the realizations passed the stage of the small self satisfying do-it-yourself, to take an astonishing and passionate artistic dimension".
