The bench is located in the Mitchell Peace Garden on Cedar Avenue at the junction with Congleton Road in Butt Lane.

The brown wooden bench has a two slatted seat and back there are no arm rests.
There are two metal plaques on the back of the bench that are inscribed as follows:-
