The Buso dei Briganti is located on Mount Cinto and represents one of the most fascinating and mysterious places in the Euganean Hills.
Legend has it that in the '800 the particular rocky conformation of trachyte gathered gangs of brigands, who, through an excavation of a breach in the rock, access to an optimal panoramic position to control the territory below. The phenomenon of banditry was widespread especially in these areas, precisely because the favourable position made it possible to intercept the passage of wayfarers who were robbed of their belongings.
