This photo shows the old Dixie College building which was renovated into Derryberry Hall. You can see the 5 columns of windows still exist on the front of the building. The old picture was taken no sooner than 1915 when Dixie College became TPI.

"In 1909, the state approved the charter of a church-supported school named the University of Dixie. Popularly known as Dixie College, the school opened its doors to students in 1912. Later in 1915, the College became Tennessee Polytechnic Institute, which was the forerunner to today's Tennessee Technological University. The Dixie College Building was renovated and expanded into Derryberry Hall, which houses many of the university's administrative offices."
