A concerned family has established a roadside Little Free Pantry, in conjunction with the Hartford Bags of Love organization, at 244 Post Office Road in Enfield, CT.

Hartford Bags of Love is a charity started with the hopes of providing food and basic essentials to the homeless in the Hartford CT area.
The power blue pantry box is mounted on a 2" by 4" pole. The box is divided into four sections with a tall section on the lower left for over-sized items, a wide section on the top, and two small sections on the lower right. A sign on the pole explains the mission of Hartford Bags of Love.
The glass door open to a 90 degree angle and automatically closes by the attached spring. On this day, on the top shelf are a variety of pasta types: orzo, rotini, thin spaghetti; also tomato sauce, bread wraps, salad dressing, canned vegetables and specialty pasta. The bottom left has fresh picked squash, veggie dip, and several different types of cookies. On the bottom right are tuna, bread, peanut butter, and rice.
The Little Free Pantry has been so successful at obtaining donations that a separate bin has temporarily been placed underneath the pantry to accept overflow items. In the overflow bin are mostly soups and tomato sauces.
