Das abstrakte Kriegerdenkmal ehrt die Führung und die Männer der 4. Infanterie Division der US Armee, welche im "Battle of the Bulge", im Dezember 1944, die linke Flanke des deutschen Vorstoßes mit Lt. General George S. Patton in die amerikanischen Linien gehalten haben und die Stadt Luxembourg retteten.
Als Dankeschön für diese tapferen Kämpfer weihte HRH, der Großherzog Jean von Luxemburg, am 3. Juni 1984 dieses Denkmal ein, das von der Gemeinde Niederanven und der Amicale des Ex-Offizieren de Reserve Luxembourgeois errichtet wurde
Die Anlage besteht aus einer absrtrakten Skulptur aus rotem Marmor, welche auf einem Sockel mit Treppe, aus dem gleichen Material, steht. Die quadratische Gedenkplakette, sowie eine kleine Infotafel aus Gußeisen wurde auf rotem Marmor befestigt.
Im Hintergrund wehen die Flaggen von Luxembourg, der USA und Frankreich.




The abstract war memorial honors the leadership and the men of the 4th Infantry Division of the US Army, who in the "Battle of the Bulge" in December 1944, the left flank of the German advance with Lt. General George S. Patton kept the American lines and saved the city of Luxembourg.
As a thank you for these brave fighters, HRH, the Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg, inaugurated this monument on June 3, 1984, which was erected by the municipality of Niederanven and the Amicale of the ex-officers de Reserve Luxembourgeois
The facility consists of an abstract sculpture made of red marble, which stands on a base with a staircase made of the same material. The square memorial plaque and a small information board made of cast iron were attached to red marble.
