Opheusden Station is located on the Betuwe line in Opheusden (municipality of Neder-Betuwe).

On November 1, 1882, the stop at guard post 16 was opened with the name Dalwagenstraat. After the stop was closed after about ten years, the stop was reopened in 1898 with the current name Opheusden. In the early years, the Opheusden stop was only used for market trains on Mondays, but from 1900 the stop was served daily. Since the end of 2012, train services have been provided by Arriva trains between Tiel and Arnhem.

The station is a simple stop with simple shelter on both platforms. The platforms are located in bayonet position on both sides of the Dalwagenseweg, one of the two main entrances to the village. On the west side of the station, the railway line crosses the river Linge.

From September 1944 to the end of the Second World War, Opheusden was on the dividing line between the Allies and the German occupiers. The station was regularly the focus of fierce fighting. On the bridge at the station there is a plaque that refers to the Allied soldiers who fell here.

South of the railway line are 3 track workers' houses, probably from the post-war reconstruction period. The area around the station may be redesigned, with attention for the parking facilities and the entire station environment.
