This Type 96 15 cm Howitzer, used by the Japanese Army during WWII, is on display in front of the Billy The Kid Museum in Fort Sumner, New Mexico.

The Type 96 15 cm Howitzer was used by the Japanese Army from 1936 through the end of WWII. A total of 440 were produced. This particular example, #215, was manufactured in 1940 by Osaka Ordinance. According to the museum staff, this gun was brought to the USA from the Philippines after WWII and the museum (which opened in 1952) acquired it sometime in 1960. This example is on display in front of the Billy The Kid museum. There are no barriers and visitors can examine (and touch) the weapon from any angle.
