The thin rock (probably marble) pillar has sunken relief art at the top showing lighthouse rock formation found in nearby Palo Duro Canyon. Emblem in the upper right for the geolocial society. Below the artwork is a list of professors who have taught Geology, Anthorpology and Environmental Science at WTAMU. At the very bottom it tells it the marker was dedicated in 2010.
