A 6' high three-part granite monument is set on a 1' high granite base in a circle paved with cobblestones. The first and third sections of the monument contain the image of a palm frond. The center section contains a bronze plaque with the image of crossed American flags and the following inscription:

The bottom of the plaque has three medallions depicting scenes from World War I. The bronze eagle that once was perched on top of the monument is once again gone missing.
