FR Le col de la Rousse est un col des Alpes du Sud à la limite des départements des Hautes-Alpes et des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Au sud-ouest d'Embrun, il domine au nord le cirque de Bragousse (caractérisé par des tours de cargneule résultant de l'érosion), l'abbaye de Boscodon et le lac de Serre-Ponçon et au sud le ravin de la Blache.
C'est le col le plus bas du massif du Parpaillon, ce qui en a fait une voie de passage ancestrale très fréquentée entre les communes de Crots et du Lauzet-Ubaye. Il s'élève à 2 147 m d'altitude et se situe entre le pic de Charance (2 316 m) et le Gros Ferrant (2 401 m).
L'ascension se fait par un sentier de randonnée.
Au col, un panneau propose une carte du secteur, affiche l'altitude et quelques détails sur les deux versants.
EN The Col de la Rousse is a pass in the Southern Alps at the limit of the Hautes-Alpes and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence departments. South-west of Embrun, it dominates to the north the Bragousse cirque (characterized by cargneule towers resulting from erosion), the Boscodon abbey and the lake of Serre-Ponçon and to the south the Blache ravine. .
It is the lowest pass of the Parpaillon massif, which has made it a very busy ancestral route between the towns of Crots and Lauzet-Ubaye. It rises to an altitude of 2,147 m and is located between the peak of Charance (2,316 m) and the Gros Ferrant (2,401 m).
The ascent is made by a hiking trail.
At the pass, a panel offers a map of the sector, displays the altitude and some details on the two slopes.
