"Det Kongelige Toldkammer i Aalborg er tegnet af arkitekt Hack Kampmann og opført i 1902. Hack Kampmann har også tegnet Marselisborg Slot, Toldboden samt Teatret i Aarhus samt Politigården i København.
Bygningen er et eksempel på nationalromantisk stil med motiver fra renæssancen. Det ses for eksempel på den symmetriske facade med den monumentale trappe. Derudover er mange unikke detaljer på murværket og især tagudhænget værd at lægge mærke til.
Det Kongelige Toldkammer i Aalborg
Det kongelige Toldkammer har i en årrække gennemgået en større restaurering og fremstår i dag som oprindeligt. Restaureringen medførte, at bygningen i år 2006 blev præmieret af Aalborg Kommune for en flot og gennemgribende restaurering af en af Aalborgs gamle værdifulde bygninger, så den fremstår smukt i bybilledet. Ligeledes har bygningen i 2007 modtaget årets "Ros" pris og i 2007 modtog det "Årets facadepris"."

"The Royal Customs House in Aalborg was designed by Hack Kampmann and built in 1902. Kampmann is also the architect behind Marselisborg Castle, the theatre in Aarhus, and the police station in Copenhagen.
In recent years, the Royal Customs House has gone through a great restoration, and today the building appears as it originally did. In 2006, the building was awarded a prize by Aalborg Municipality for the beautiful and extensive restoration of one of the old and valuable buildings in Aalborg. In 2007 the building received two more awards: “Ros” (praise) and “Facade of the Year”.
The building is an example of the Danish romantic style with motives from the renaissance. Among other details, the style manifests itself in the symmetrical facade with the stately stairs. Furthermore, many unique details can be seen in the masonry and the eaves."
