The gravestone is erected for Thomas Gordon Pollock and Charles Lee Pollock.

"Thomas Gordon Pollock was born in 1838 in Richmond, Virginia. His father was a pastor at a Presbyterian Church and his mother was related to the Lee family. He first attended Yale University for a year before coming to the University of Virginia. He attended the University from 1856 to 1859. After completing his education, Pollock practiced law in Virginia until the Civil War began. He was a Captain in the Confederate States Army. At Gettysburg, Pollock was under General George Pickett who was famous for Pickett’s Charge at Gettysburg. Interestingly, Pollock wrote to his father four days prior to his death, expressing confident that the Confederates would win the war soon. Pollock was shot off his horse and met his death on July 3, 1863 at the Battle of Gettysburg." - (visit link)
