Webbers Falls is a town of approximately 600 people located on the west bank of the Arkansas River in southeast Muskogee County. The siren is mounted atop a wood pole on the southeast corner of a block-long brick building at 101 Commercial Street. The nearby building is occupied as the Webbers Falls Museum.
The siren consists of two banks of ten horns each, sounding a full 360 degrees. The horns are covered with a bird netting to keep birds from building nests in the horns. Good idea. We once saw a siren go off in our hometown, and absolutely terror-stricken birds came flying out of most of the horns. Poor things.
